Each year the European Community Youth Orchestra (founded in 1978) brings together some of the best young orchestral musicians in the EEC. They spend the summer rehearsing and performing in major cities throughout
Europe. This year 124 players have been selected by competition in each of the nine member states.
Tonight's concert comes from Berlin where they are conducted by their Musical Director CLAUDIO ABBADO and by their President
