Midnight Movie: Woman in the Window

on BBC Two England

The first of three films featuring one of Hollywood's greatest actors Edward G. Robinson
with Joan Bennett, Raymond Massey, Dan Duryea, Edmund Breon

Like Hitchcock, Fritz Lang is a master of suspense. In tonight's thriller he uses Joan Bennett as the femme fatale who captivates a mild-mannered professor (beautifully played by Edward G. Robinson) and involves him in a web of murder, deception and intrigue.
Joan Bennett - sister of Constance and daughter of Richard - plays 'the woman in the window.' She starred as a nasty in another Fritz Lang thriller Woman on the Beach (with Joan Crawford).
