CIS Insurance United Kingdom Indoor Bowls Championship This is the first day of a nine-day tournament involving 32 top-class level-green bowlers from the British Isles. The first match is between the reigning champion and No 1 seed TONY ALLCOCK and COLIN SOMMERVILLE , who is unseeded, from Scotland.
Next a newcomer to the top echelon of bowlers, CLIFFORD CRAIG (Ireland), takes on the No 16 seed RICHARD CORSIE (Scotland). The final match this afternoon is between
1987 winner STEPHEN REES
(Wales) seeded 9 and one of two crown green bowlers in the competition,
ROBERT CRAWSHAW from Wilmslow who is unseeded.
