A Noah's Ark for Europe
How can we save our wild animals?
As animal habitats continue to be destroyed, traditional methods of conservation could prove inadequate. We must find new and additional methods.
Threatened species like the otter, lynx, eagle owl and wolf, and many others, must be taken into captivity and bred effectively into large colonies. Some breeders have already taken the initiative and are achieving remarkable results.
The programme includes recent work with Sir Peter Scott at
Slimbridge, with Philip Wayre at the Norfolk Wildlife Park, and in zoos and animal reservations in England, Sweden and Germany. Narrator FRANK GILLARD
Editor BRUCE NORMAN
