The 1978/79 Rugby League season has been dominated by Widnes in all the major cup competitions, and by the two Hull teams, Hull KR and Hull, in the League. The programme looks back on the successes of these clubs, the Australian tour of Great Britain, and previews the forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand by the Great Britain squad.
