Television Doctor: Flu

on BBC Two England

A sore throat, a runny nose, a slight temperature-and you feet rotten: you are probably suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection, says the General Practitioner in Television Doctor tonight. But if you've crawled into bed with a severe headache, aching all over, shivering, a cough, and a high temperature-it's probably influenza, and A2/Hong Kong 1/68 at that.
The Consultant Physician and a General Practitioner discuss the flu epidemic and give you advice about the disease. The programme also introduces a Professor of Medicine who has studied influenza all his life and who was the first man in the world to catch flu from a ferret.
