A Painter in the Country
John and Paul Nash are two artists whose work is in the forefront of English twentieth-century landscape painting. Starting from a common experience, each developed in his own way. John Nash was drawn to the same countryside that had been made famous by Constable. He has painted there for the last forty years, and in this film the work and the scenes that form his art show a familiar world with a fresh eye.
