At West Point Military Academy Cadet James Pelosi was charged in 1971 with cheating in an exam. Since he refused to resign, he was subjected to ' The Silence ', systematic ostracism and persecution, for 19 months until he graduated. Greenberg's drama depicts Pelosi's version of the affair.
