Drama. Bombay 1961: an eccentric Anglophile is undaunted by the news that her baby boy, Brit, has "bones like biscuits". Her husband, however, parades his son before one charlatan after another, hoping for a cure. Brit's sister Dolly is his true ally, providing unfaltering love. But Dolly abandons him when she marries and his father is cruelly torn from him. Then a new acquaintance enters his life and romance ensues. Widescreen.
