Pius, Kate, Paul and Michelle are four young people looking forward to moving into their own flat. John, in his mid-30s, is equally looking forward to moving out of hospital back into the community. This move back into society in small semi-independent groups is reflected in the move of six severely handicapped teenagers out of a large hostel to an ordinary house.
