In the decade before the fall of South Vietnam. DR NHUT SANH HUYNH and his wife prospered in their joint medical practice near Saigon. In 1975, the Communists confiscated their wealth and sent Dr Nhut to a concentration camp. After his release, the family escaped in an overcrowded fishing boat and on their third night at sea with the boat sinking and all their food and water gone, they were saved by the British ship Weltpark. After a year in this country on the dole and struggling to qualify as a doctor again Dr Nhut is coming to terms with a very different life.
