Madame Tussaud died exactly a hundred years ago. Tonight viewers hear the story of her famous waxworks, and how her idea grew into its present international exhibition.
The story is told by Richard Dimbleby and Reginald Edds and illustrated by models, relics, and ancient documents from the exhibition.
Max Robertson is in the modelling studio to find out how the figures are made.
The programme includes an unveiling ceremony of the three latest exhibits to the waxworks, Joy Nichols, Jimmy Edwards, and Dick Bentley.
