Introduced by Robin Ray
When Ingmar Bergman produced his own version of Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, he had his cameramen ready to film him, the orchestra and singers at every stage of the rehearsals. The resulting snippets were joined together into an amusing documentary of the work, which could be called ' the film of the making of The Magic Flute'. As that title would be too long for any screen, television or otherwise, it was decided to use the director's final orders: Stand by to Shoot.
