Salford, who on their present form must be one of the leading contenders for the First Division title this season, play St Helens in this third quarter-final.
St Helens, winners of the Floodlit Trophy in 1975 and runners-up in 1977 and 1978, were struggling to find their best form at the beginning of the season, but are now showing glimpses of coming back. On their home ground they should give high-flying Salford a tough and interesting match.
