The Palazzo Reale, the Royal Palace, in Milan, is currently housing the largest, most attractive and thought-provoking exhibition of British painting and sculpture ever mounted anywhere in the world. More than 50 huge interconnecting rooms bulge with works by artists who have come to the fore during the last 15 years - David Hockney , Richard Smith , Bridget Riley , Anthony Caro , Peter Blake , Richard Hamilton , Phillip King , Eduardo Paolozzi , Mark Boyle , John Latham and many more.
Bill Feaver , the Observer's art critic, reports on the exhibition and talks to some of the artists involved.
