This month sees the first visit to London of the internationally renowned
Cuban National Ballet under their legendary teacher and founder Alicia Alonso. Now over 60, and with failing eyesight, Alonso still dances and closely supervises a huge company of young dancers. Arena filmed them at work in Havana and in the factories and plantations of the surrounding countryside.
