Debussy Arturo Benedetto Michelangeli the Italian pianist, has been called ' the greatest of his generation' and in tonight's recital he plays some of the loveliest piano music of the 20th century: Debussy's Preludes Book 1, including ' La fille aux cheveux de lin' (Girl with the flaxen hair). 'La cathedrale engloutie' (The submerged cathedral), and ' Des pas sur la neige ' (Footsteps In the snow).
