Tonight from BBC North East. Lindisfarne
'Back Where We Started From '
In 1973 the ' Geordie ' rock group LINDISFARNE split up, much to the consternation of their world-wide following. They had, after all, done for Newcastle what The
Beatles had done for Liverpool and put the North East firmly on the pop map. Last December they decided to, get together for a Christmas Concert in Newcastle's City Hall to see if the Lindisfarne magic still worked. Tonight they talk at length about their ties with Tyneside, the rise to the top, and the reasons for the split-up. Reporter DAVID WARD
