The Magic of a Dartmoor Stream
For two years prize-winning cameraman Richard Philps waited and watched by the side of the River Lyd close to his home on Dartmoor. He provides a portrait of river life that the holiday-maker passes by and the men of the moor usually take for granted. He filmed buzzards and herons and the loveable dippers who are just as happy walking under water as flying above it. RICHARD PHILPS also provides a strange answer to the question why so many female kingfishers go bald during the mating season.
