World Snooker

on BBC Two England

World championship coverage continues live from Sheffield's Crucible Theatre as the quarter-finals reach their conclusion. This time last year eventual champion Ronnie O'Sullivan was the first player to reach the semi-finals with a 13-3 demolition of a stoical Anthony Hamilton. Displaying a devastating show of strength the Rocket rattled in four centuries on his way to victory. Hamilton, already 7-1 adrift by the end of the morning session did manage to claw back two of the evening frames. But it proved to be a mission impossible with O'Sullivan sealing the match in the 16th with a session to spare. Hazel Irvine introduces today's quarter-final action, with Clive Everton ,
Dennis Taylor , John Virgo , Willie Thorne , Terry Griffiths and Neal Foulds providing the commentary. BBCi: digital viewers can access additional live coverage of both tables, plus a news and statistics service, via the red button
