Matthew's American Adventure

on BBC Two England

The story of one family's pursuit of happiness.
Matthew Davis , at 13, has flown the Atlantic a dozen times but never walked across a room unaided. For Matthew suffers from cerebral palsy and his unorthodox medical advisers are 3,000 miles away in the United States. His parents' dedication to Matthew's recovery is absolute and for them, as for so many emigrants before them, Philadelphia is the city of hope as well as of brotherly love.
