The short season of films about Hollywood concludes with this documentary, which follows Francis Coppola during the making of his movie Apocalypse Now. Coppola's extraordinary odyssey survived appalling trials and tribulations. Beset by typhoons, wars, heart attacks, nervous breakdowns and drugs, he emerged with what has been called a masterpiece. The film includes interviews with the major players, including Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall, and the observations of Eleanor Coppola with some of her own revealing film footage.
