The BBC Television International Sheepdog Championship

Within sight of the field in which the first sheepdog trial was held in 1873, today's finals will see the close working bond between shepherd and collie tested to the full over the challenging trials course above Lake Bala in North Wales.
Winners of the two competitions will each receive the BBC Trophy and the Sash of Honour from the International Sheep Dog Society. The Finalists: Singles:
STUART DAVIDSON and Ben (Scotland) v RON BAILEY and Spot (England)
Brace: MEL PAGE with Nell and Fly (Wales) v
GEOFF BILLINGHAM with Jed and Trim (Scotland)
