1942: On a routine trip to Newfoundland a fishing boat skippered by Pat Bannon encounters a stranded schooner apparently shelled by Nazi submarines. Bannon agrees to tow the ship into the village of Trabo but becomes suspicious about its captain, Skalder. Bannon's fears are confirmed when he discovers that the cargo is not rum, but German torpedoes....
