continues a season of films starring William Holden. with Judy Holliday , Broderick Crawford In George Cukor 's film version of Garson Kanin 's enormously successful Broadway comedy, William Holden stooges magnificently to Judy Holliday 's Oscar-winning performance as the dumb blonde, Billie Dawn , whose amazing beauty is matched only by her monumental ignorance. Holden revealed a great talent for comedy as the famous writer hired to teach Billie etiquette and the social graces.
