Film-maker Les Blank takes a journey into the heart of southwest Louisiana and explores the rich traditions of Cajun and Zydeco music. The film features such artists as Denis McGhee, Queen Ida, Canray Fontenot, Dewey Balfa and the king of Creole, Clifton Chenier. Through rare archive photographs and early recordings, Blank traces the history of these two styles.
