Black Silk: 1: A Long Way Away

on BBC Two England

by Tunde Ikoli
A series in eight parts devised by Mustapha Matura and Rudy Narayan
Starring Rudolph Walker and Kika Markham

Larry Scott is wishfully called Queen's Counsel by the black and Asian communities whose civil rights and liberties he champions and defends. He is less popular with the legal establishment. In tonight's opening episode he pleads for a teenage boy of mixed parentage whose loyalties are confusedly divided between black and white.
