A cycle of plays on The Life of Our Lord.
Written and produced by Joy Harington
When Caiaphas, the High Priest, learned that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem for the Passover Festival he called a meeting of the Council of the Sanhedrin to decide what was to be done with this 'prophet of Nazareth' who was causing such a disturbance among the people and in the religious life of the country; and although opinion was divided, Caiaphas was convinced of his duty. 'It is to your advantage,' he said to the priests and pharisees, 'that one man should die for the people rather than that a whole nation should perish'.
Meanwhile through wildly cheering crowds Jesus rode into the city.
