The 20th Century Remembered

on BBC Two England

by Dean Rusk
In the last of four programmes, DEAN RUSK , former American Secretary of State, recalls his final years in office while serving President Johnson. Without doubt, most Americans remember Rusk as the man who so strenuously defended the war in Vietnam. Some have said that he betrayed his own liberal instincts and the interests of his country. Kenneth Harris , in this exclusive television interview, asks Dean Rusk how he feels about that now, ten years after the defeat in Vietnam.
