Screen 2: The Revolutionary

on BBC Two England

starring Jon Voight.
'A' is a philosophy student who has been disowned by his family for belonging to the Radical Party, a political organisation with which he is already disillusioned. At the same time as he offers his services to a revolutionary group, he becomes fascinated by a girl from a rich, bourgeois family.
Jon Voight gives a beautifully judged performance as the middle-class student who finds revolution easy to preach but harder to practise in Paul Williams's timeless picture of youthful radicalism.
Screenplay by Hans Koningsberger from his novel The Revolutionary.
