A nostalgic musical based on the famous novel by James Hilton
Arthur Chipping (' Chips') is a shy, dedicated schoolmaster who is unable to overcome the hostility of his pupils until he meets and marries Katherine, a beautiful and warm-hearted musical comedy actress. The years pass, and ' Chips' at last becomes Headmaster - but his final triumph is marred by tragedy.
