The life of escapologist Harry Houdini was one daredevil feat after another, from defying all the locks of Scotland Yard to escaping from a steel box under the ice of the Detroit River. Parallel to this story of the most hazardous career in show business is the romance of Houdini's life-long love affair with his wife, played by Tony Curtis's own wife, Janet Leigh.
