International Golf: The 1968 United States Open Golf Championship

on BBC Two England

at the Rochester Golf Club New York State.
Though "The Big Three" - Palmer, Player, and Nicklaus (the current title holder) - have all won this golfing classic in the last seven years, their dominance of the American circuit will be severely tested in this, one of the four major titles in world golf.
The Final round of this tournament was played yesterday and this recording of the thrill-packed climax is introduced by Harry Carpenter with the assistance of Malcolm Gregson, one of Britain's top professional golfers who has just returned from the U.S. circuit.
