A new series of programmes of lunacy and laughter starring, as your hosts Dan Rowan and Dick Martin featuring a regular company of crazy characters and a bewildering array of guests

BBC-2's 'Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In' is a phenomenon of comic compression. Somebody wrote to tell me that the average show contains a minimum of 300 wisecracks in fifty minutes. Watching the first one I thought that there must be at least 300 scriptwriters; actually I lost count of the final credits, but concluded that there were in fact eight or ten writers. (L.
