The Legacy of a Genius
Nearly a decade after Picasso death, the nature of his genius is still being debated. The task of assessing the vast body of work he produced has proved an enormous challenge to scholars and artists.
American art historian Robert Rosenblum gives a critical account of Picasso's career and his place in 20th-century art. Henry Moore , Anthony Caro , David Hockney , George Segal , Roy Lichtenstein and Matta comment on the ways in which Picasso has affected them. There are also contributions from Francois Gllot , Picasso's children and his biographer Ronald Penrose.
