One of the most Inspiring and exciting films to be made in France in the past few years, 'Race For Life', has a theme that is international, and uses a language that is easily understandable in any country in the world. For it tells the simple story of a drama at sea-a drama brought about by a mysterious sickness that strikes down first one and then another of the crew of a small Britanny trawler, fishing two days away from the nearest land, Norway. The Captain sends out radio calls for help, but they are not answered. At least that is how it seems to the crew of the stricken ship. But somewhere in the heart of Africa, a radio amateur picks up the message, and immediately starts a rescue operation that Is to involve most of the countries of Europe....
