On 20 September 1943 in a field near Salerno in Italy, 192 British soldiers were arrested. They were later court-martialled and found guilty of mutiny. It was a shocking business and a well-kept secret. For these men were heroes, who had fought with General Montgomery at El Alamein. How such soldiers came to disobey their officers is told in this documentary film by three of the convicted men.
