Rocky Circus
June 1981. Gerry Cottle 's circus is sinking into the mud of a wet summer. But even as Cottle is deciding to kill one show, he's dreaming of another. It's an audacious scheme, a revolution, a breakthrough ... It's called Hock Circus. Cottle has seen battered pop star, Gary Glitter , and pronounced him ' a real showman'. The plan is to build the circus around his outrageous mix of high camp and deafening rock. There are only 14 days to complete the marriage. After that, the circus goes on tour, and the audience will decide ...
This is what happened when Gerry Cottle caught his falling star and put him on a motorbike balancing on a tightrope.
