A series of films about the way we live now. Forget-Me-Not
Miss Poland 85 in the Palace of Culture and Science
It's Magda's last chance - next year she'll be too old to compete. She comes from the coal-mining area of Poland. Her mother borrowed from the factory to pay for the dresses and hotel bill. Her father worked overtime for years, even sold all his pet canaries, to buy her cosmetics. If she gets to the final, she stands a chance of winning a VW Golf Turbo. A car like that is beyond the dreams of most Poles today.
Sylvia put off her marriage to enter the contest. But she's broken the rules. Will she be allowed to join the 25 finalists? Just being in the final will change most of these girls'lives.
