Tennis

on BBC Two England

Sue Barker introduces live coverage from Paris of the women's singles final in the French Open championship. Last year's final followed the Roland Garros stadium's tradition for throwing up surprises, with teenager Iva Majoli becoming the lowest seed to win the title since 1933, thwarting Martina Hingis's bid to win every Grand Slam event in 1997. Hingis will be doubly determined to capture this year's crown, as this is the only major prize which has thus far eluded her grasp. John Barrett and Virginia Wade are in the commentary box.
