Sea and Ships: 2: Port of London

on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

Fifty-five million tons of merchandise pass through the Port of London each year, and the organisation of the thirty-six miles of docks and quays is supervised by the Port of London Authority, who celebrate their fiftieth anniversary this year.

Everything that happens on the River Thames between Teddington and the sea is the concern of the P.L.A. This film programme gives a picture of life and work on London's river.
