Harold Wilson to Margaret Thatcher , they have struggled to come to terms with it. Wilson saw the importance of image, and studied the techniques of President Kennedy. Ever since, the 'media consultant' has been vital to politicians. This programme plots the course which has turned premiers into television personalities. But do the viewers know any more about the political process now than they did 50 years ago?
