Open Door: Just a Link with the Wild

on BBC Two England

The programme in which the BBC hands over air time to the public.

Tonight: Just a Link with the Wild presented by Ed Seager of the Wildlife Youth Project, Mossley

'As a child, I robbed birds' nests of their young. At 15, I bought a young hawk stolen from its nest by a friend, and tried to teach it to hunt. It escaped into the wild again. With its escape came the realisation that if we help each other to understand the wild, we teach ourselves. Barry Hines, author of Kes, joins me and the young people involved in our link with the wild.'
