Tonight's second film starring Richard Gere
Fourteenagers spend the summer with their grandmother,
Kane, in the country near Nagasaki. It's 45 years since the Americans dropped the atomic bomb, and the children's parents want to forget the atrocities of war and to avoid embarrassing their prosperous Japanese-American relatives. But Clark, Kane's nephew from Hawaii, gently makes the family face their own history. In Japanese with English subtitles.
