Once a year in Mexico the dead come back to share a meal with their families. On this day - The Festival of the Dead - one must offer them all the things they cared for when they were alive.
Favourite food and drink and even their pistols and spears must be at the graveside or on the altar. 'In Mexico the living and the dead are on very good terms,' claims one European television reporter.
Tonight's programme looks at the way of death in parts of Mexico and Europe.
