on BBC Two England

by Shirley Gee

In a modern north country museum a strange affinity develops between Polly, a young cleaner, and Fanny, a lacemaker whose work now lies in a glass showcase. Their bond is formed by a baby's lace bonnet pains-takingly worked by Fanny - 150 years ago.
