Attorneys Wyler and Grasso present their closing arguments in the Sharon Rooney trial as the jury reaches a verdict. But the case takes a twist when Wyler meets with an underworld figure, Carmine D'Nardis, who has been arrested for murder and offers to testify against more than a dozen Mafia hitmen in exchange for immunity. D'Nardis also claims he knows the real identity of the person who murdered the Governor of California and his lover.

Meanwhile, in the Rickey Latrell murder trial, Aaron Mosely clashes with Chris Docknovich, maintaining that as a fellow Afro-American he is best suited to argue bail for the basketball hero. Whoever pleads the case, Latrell will need to find several million dollars to stay out of jail.
