For 50 years Lorenz has been demonstrating amazing parallels between the behaviour of geese and men. His ideas have inspired many biologists, caused others to regard him as a heretic, and, through such books as King Solomon's Ring, set up such a wave of public interest in animal behaviour that 'ethology' has become a smart word to use.
As Lorenz approaches 70 and retirement, this film shows his continuing work with a team of helpers - all followed by families of goslings convinced that they are under the wing of a real goose...
