Growing up in Chicago in the 1920s, Studs Lonigan drifts aimlessly through a world of pool halls and bar-rooms, carousing with his gang of teenage idlers, Kenny, Weary and Paulie, and unwilling to face up to the realities of life.
This film version of James . Farrell's famous trilogy, a rich saga of Irish-American life, vividly recreates Chicago's famous era of Prohibition and gangsters.
