Bintley's Mozart

on BBC Two England

David Bintley is one of the most energetic and talented young dancers and choreographers working in Britain today. This programme follows the often exhilarating, and sometimes painful, process of creating one of his latest works, Galanteries. It was commissioned for Expo 86 World Fair in Canada and performed by the Royal Ballet where he is resident choreographer. It documents Bintley's instinctive way of working with his dancers on a ballet described as one of his most joyous creations. In the second half of the programme there is a complete performance of Galanteries, set to Mozart's. Divertimento K205 and Serenade K101.
